Do you know that today is a most exciting day to be alive?

You might not feel it, your current life situation might say otherwise, but it really is. Let’s consider why.

Everything you do matters. Everything you plan, dream, hope for, work for, is completely seen and cherished by the most perfect, whole and powerful being in this universe, who is also completely for you. Never has anyone known you and loved you like God does. There is a passion that is felt for you that will never be extinguished.

In a generation that is running dangerously low on trust, truth and meaning – just look around you or watch the news – we need to know this in our hearts more now than ever. There is one who we can completely trust with our present and our future (and who we can leave our past with). He made you, He knows what you need and He isn’t capable of being anything less than 100% trustworthy.

There is real tangible, beautiful truth for our lives – a reason for our being, a right path for us to tread, a set of physical and spiritual realities set in motion which underpin the present and coming worlds. There is a plan and purpose for your life, the perfect fit for your character, your desires and abilities, which will bring you fulfilment and bring about an effect which God has ordained and the world will feel. If you choose it.

When we live by the emotions of the moment and take on the transitory pursuits of the world around us; it’s very easy to miss the reality that there is a mind-blowing power available to us (only a prayer away), and a pure intensity of love and good-will that pursues us. A power and love that brings about our good, our health, our purpose and our peace of mind. A power and love which gives us an unfair advantage.

If we choose to partner with it. ‘It’ is actually a person, and has a name. God, the mighty creator of the universe, the perfect author of life, the greatest intellect, wisdom and strength that will ever be, invites us each day to align ourselves with His will and join him in a great adventure; directed by his Spirit and made possible by the incredible sacrifice of his son, Jesus.

When we do – the world is changed. Doors open – in this physical life and in the spiritual realm – opportunities present themselves, disease is healed, past hurts are forgiven and mended, strength and motivation are given to our bodies and minds. Ideas are birthed, relationships are built, valuable pursuits are begun which will change the very fabric of our lives and those around us. Life is very good – and it was meant to be. (John 10:10)

If you stop and think for a minute that the most awesome power in the universe wants to partner with you, has your interests deeply set in His heart and loves you more fiercely and purely than the most beautiful human relationships, desiring to see you succeed and flourish… why wouldn’t we want to move closer?
